Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Confer, an internal audio conferencing application provided by DSInnovators (“we”, “our”, or “the Company”). By signing in to or otherwise using Confer, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
Confer provides real-time audio conferencing with administrative controls (meeting creation, invitations, speaker management, mute, and kick) for use within DSInnovators. The service relies on Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication and a self-hosted LiveKit server for real-time audio transport.
2. Eligibility
Access to Confer is restricted to employees, contractors, and other authorised members of DSInnovators or organisations whose Google Workspace domain has been explicitly approved by us. You may only use Confer with a Google account on an approved domain. Attempts to access the service from an unapproved account will be rejected.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the credentials used to sign in to your Google account.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
4. Acceptable use
While using Confer, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful, harassing, or harmful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other users’ accounts, or the underlying infrastructure.
- Interfere with or disrupt meetings, the service, or networks connected to the service.
- Record, transcribe, or redistribute audio from meetings without the consent of the other participants and in compliance with applicable law.
- Use automated tools to scrape data, generate spurious load, or circumvent rate limits or access controls.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we may report abuse to the appropriate authorities.
5. Privacy
Your use of Confer is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what information we collect and how we use it. By using the service, you consent to the data practices described there.
6. Intellectual property
Confer, including its software, design, and content provided by us, is owned by DSInnovators and its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended internal-conferencing purpose. No other rights are granted, and the service may not be sub-licensed or resold.
Content you contribute (for example, meeting titles, short names, or spoken audio) remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to process and transmit it to the extent necessary to operate the service.
7. Service availability
Confer is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or that defects will be corrected.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall DSInnovators or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) USD 100.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Confer at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute provisions) will survive.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version. If a revision is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the service or by email. Continued use of the service after a revision becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of The People's Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the service shall be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
